  1. Why would her dad steal her out of the hospital and say she was safe now? Like what wasn't safe about the hospital?

    1. I'm guessing that the reason he'd check her out of the hospital "Rex Walls style" is because he thinks she should be tough enough to take care of herself and their too poor to pay hospital bills.

    5. THey couldnt afford the hospital and the people at the hospital were very suspicious of the way he was taking care of the kids. They probably would have taken the kids away form him.

    8. Her dad took Jeannette from the hospital because he didn't agree with the way things were being done with his child. He didn't like how they were taking care of Jeannette. He believed that her burns shouldn't be covered up with bandages. Also because they couldn't afford to pay the hospital bills.

  2. How does Jeannette's idea of the Glass castle differ from her sibiling's

    1. As explained in the video, Jeannette was hopeful about the Glass Castle, believing and expecting her Fathers dream to come true. Jeannette had more faith than her siblings and therefore her siblings did not have as much faith as Jeannette with more criticism of her father and the Glass Castle.

    6. The family was in the desert and Lori got stung by a scorpion. Their dad hates hospitals and doesn't have the money for a real hospital. He probably knows that the hospital would probably take the kids away from him.

    4. Rex Walls throws their pet cat Quixote, out of the window of the car. They were just leaving the trailer park, in the car already driving away when the cat had started scratching. Jeannette's mom had made the comment that cats don't like to travel so Rex had stopped the car, grabbed the cat and tossed it out of the window.

    2. They were on the "skedaddle". Running from the government or other make believe problems that Rex Walls creates so his kids don't complain about their money problems.

      Delete
    3. They owed a lot of money to bill collecotrs and were running away from the debt. Their dad said they were running from the CIA to make it more interesting but really, they were just in debt.

      Delete
    4. Because any time they get in money trouble, or any kind of trouble they just run from it instead of facing their problem. which is probably why her mom is still homeless while she is an adult
