Some stereotypes are how they dress. They tend to dress head to toe. covered in black most of the time. They have kids non stop, and they appear to be unhappy with their lives. I have these opinions because that is what I have seen personally, or things other people have said. Im sure not all of them are like that, we just assume so just like others assume we are all fat and lazy.
Some Arabian women may work up the courage to stand up in their country to try and make life better for other women. Other women may value their life more than to face death in speaking out and saving hundreds of lives.
Yes, I do in fact think the women are very brave. What these women want is some sort of equality and a voice. If I were in their situation I would fight, because living like they do (in control of men entirely) is death in itself.
The women who try to cause changes are brave. If they want their efforts to be noticed though they need to come together and fight. There is strength in numbers.
I beleive they are very brave, however if they want to make a true difference they need to be united in it. Recently a group of women defied the female driving ban and posted videos on Youtube. The event was covered by CNN and here is a link to the event.
I am not exactly sure why women have no rights and are treated ill by their husbands because in this website, it gives exerpts fromt he Quarn the sacred book, that women should be treated equal to men. It tells that a man and a women should be devoted to their mate. Women are vital to men. Men need them to produce their children, most importantly their sons.
I think the reason that the women are treated in such a horrible way is because back in primal times, “mother nature” was basically in control. The male was dominant back then and that need for dominance rests the genes of humans and animals alike. Also the fact that their religion supports these actions toward women leads to this sort of horrid treatment.
I feel that this has been due to mans need for power. The men will search for this power anywhere including the household, however after generations of this it has grown much more prominent.
The Arabian men are superior to the women. They feel the women are too fragile and can't function by themselves but they are able to produce more sons. The women are not viewed as people but as a means to breed and so they get no rights.
In this society, the man can have as many wives as he wants and do whatever he wants. If the baby is a girl he has every right to get rid of the baby and the women who gave birth to her. Basically this means they consider these people to be disposable.
I believe the reason for the decreased value and respect for women has been due to mens desire for power, even in cases of the household. After generations this has become a more prominent feature.
Why do you think Saudi Arabia has such strict public laws regarding Women’s rights, has there ever been a time in U.S. history where women were treated similarly? https://www.gov.uk/living-in-saudi-arabia http://www.education.com/study-help/article/us-history-religion-reform-women-rights/
The women are not allowed to go out in public without their husbands because they constantly have to be watched. The men feel superior to the women so they get to control what their wife does. The women cannot go out in public alone because nobody feels they can handle it, they might get hurt or they could have something happen to them that would shame their families. I don't think the women in U.S. history have faced strict public laws like the Arabian's but they have still had some restrictions. However; women in the U.S. had their rights given to them because they fought for them without fear of harm and death while the Arabians have always lived in the fear of death by their own husbands and families.
the women are only these law so they are not objectified i did not agree with the way they used to be punished but now the law are a lot less harsh and much more reasonable. the only thing i would be able to compare this to the U.S. is women not having the right to vote back in 1920
